Established as Washington, DC corporation in 1914
In 1954 Charles Goldberg (their son) expanded this hammers and nails hardware store to include a small selection of decorative plumbing and hardware products. The demand for these products grew so fast that it wasn't long before the decorative product took over the adjacent building. In 1970, a bold risk was taken to move from the city to the "outskirts" of Bethesda, MD. In 1991, Union Hardware added a showroom in Falls Church, VA. Grandsons, David and Barry, also serve as Vice Presidents of the company to make Union Hardware a third generation family owned and operated business.
